India–Bhutan Cultural Harmony: Buddha Relics Shine in Thimphu

The Indian Buddhist Council (IBC) has brought a rare spiritual experience to Thimphu, Bhutan, with the display of the Sacred Buddha Relics. Alongside the relics, three exhibitions are captivating visitors — Guru Padmasambhava: Life and Sacred Sites in India, Legacy of the Shakyas, and Life and Teachings of the Buddha.

These exhibitions not only celebrate Buddhism’s deep roots but also reinforce the timeless cultural and spiritual bond between India and Bhutan. Through sacred artifacts, teachings, and visual narratives, the event showcases how India remains the heartland of Buddha’s legacy. It’s a beautiful reminder that spirituality transcends borders, strengthening friendship and mutual respect between the two nations.
