 Bhubaneswar, Odisha – June 21:

On the first anniversary of the BJP government in Odisha, PM Modi visited Bhubaneswar to support the new administration led by CM Mohan Charan Majhi and reinforce the government’s roadmap for economic resurgence and regional empowerment.

Odisha’s CM Majhi presented a bold economic vision aligned with Modi’s "Purvodaya" (Eastern Upliftment) strategy. Key highlights:

  • Odisha aims to become a $500 billion economy by 2036 and reach $1.5 trillion by 2047.

  • In the past year alone, 56 investment MoUs worth ₹1.8 lakh crore were signed, setting the stage for a major industrial boom.

  • The government has rolled out targeted schemes for farmers, women, youth, and underprivileged communities, reflecting the BJP’s welfare-oriented agenda.

Addressing a massive gathering, CM Majhi praised initiatives like Operation Sindoor, a campaign against Maoist insurgency and internal threats. He affirmed: “Modi hai to desh surakshit hai” (With Modi, the country is safe), invoking strong nationalist sentiments.

The visit also symbolized the political strengthening of BJP in Odisha, traditionally a BJD stronghold. PM Modi’s speech focused on security, development, and youth opportunity, blending governance delivery with strategic voter engagement.
